E'raazith the Amber King is an entity known as a Greater Thing, a being whose soul originates from the mysterious plane running parallel to our own known as The Veil. He bears the power of a lower Lovecraftian deity, on a quest to reclaim his severed arm from his brother, who exiled him from their home in the Verdigris star system hundreds of millions of years ago. He is accompanied by his own creations, the ambercraft, the products of his knowledge. The asteroid he was exiled on by his brother Uradis has since careened into the planet Erox, where he enthralled the alien Skall tribes of the badlands with his knowledge and grandiose promises, leading them on a manipulative campaign through the stars as his personal army. He later ventured to Mars in the Sol system, believing there to be a rift to The Veil present near the celestial bodies' northern pole...

The Amber King is the main antagonist of my project, Flourish, who the character Red Hornet that I've uploaded also originates. He is in a way the culmination of its themes of identity and self-actualization, for he is a tinkering god who has had his mystical amber hand stolen from him and is therefore incapable of acting on his godly domain of craftsmanship. He is also manically obsessed with the idea of "The Sequence", wherein he fears the universe and its course from beginning to end to have been predetermined, and therefore he has no control over his future or who he is. Humanity's place in the story is just a small stepping stone in his eon spanning plans.

Though once curious and always seeking to learn, his heart has darkened and he has come to only view the mortal "Lesser Thing" races of the universe in terms of their utility as tools to him in his grand ambitions. He revels in his perceived superiority over them, ever insecure about being cast from the home of the Greater Things. It was his curiosity about The Sequence that imperiled them, and now he wants revenge and to claim The Veil's power to assert his own destiny in the face of his fears of predeterminism.
