Pluto

Share

Here is the second painting I submitted to The Space Collab! This is everyone's favorite Plutoid and former Planet: Pluto! I like Pluto a ton! I think it is quite a fascinating planet. Going to Pluto sounds like fun! Just sitting there with a tiny house and drawing sounds really nice. Though, not without a really good space suit and heating, of course!

Fun facts: Pluto's largest moon, Charon, is the largest moon relative to the size of the planet. Because of this, the barycenter (the center of gravity between two objects) is slightly outside of Pluto. This means that technically, Pluto and Charon both are in orbit around each other, making this a tiny binary system! Also, Pluto, Charon, and all of their moons (Nix, Styx, Hydra, Kerberos) are named after underworldly creatures and places in Roman mythology!

The forgotten planet

TheBestBroster responds:

we all love pluto over here

Ah man, 2006. It's been 18 years since but I still remember sitting in my 7th grade science class learning about the denouncement of Pluto as a dwarf planet. Was quite mind blowing at the time, still strange today to say there are only eight planets.

TheBestBroster responds:

Woooah thats neat! Weird to think I was only 2 when that happened lol

colors and shapes are great, keep it up!!

TheBestBroster responds:

aww thank you!! :3

I don’t care what people say. Pluto is and always will be the ninth planet of our Solar System!

TheBestBroster responds:

yeah, it will always be the ninth planet in my heart
