Bird in a Spacesuit

This is one of the drawings that I really like. I think I made this late October last year when I was supposed to be studying. Well, inspiration struck and I've got to channel it somewhere.

Yes. I'm uploading old stuff because I'm a bit busy cooking up new stuff, and I wanna try to get some more feedback for this. I might make another one of these but well, no promises.

Wanna know how I rediscovered Newgrounds? Well, read on! Else, you can just skip and you wouldn't miss anything meaningful.

I heard the whispers of a place called Newgrounds, and so I have set out to explore where the animators of today and tomorrow came from. I first heard of it in 2015 when I was absolutely hooked on watching "DrawWithJazza" and he was mentioning Newgrounds on several of his videos. I clicked the link, checked things out but I wasn't that interested at the time.

But then, when I was super depressed last year's October, a friend told me about Among Us and wanted me to play with him. I gotta say, the games were super fun and it really helped my mood. I started to look it up and watch some vids about it, and they were fun too. I also found out about the people behind it and Newgrounds was mentioned.

I also listened to that episode of the NG podcast and I wanted to know more. I decided to make an account. I'm also looking into the site's history so I'm not clueless when someone decides to actually tell me an injoke that involves some obscure reference from the 2000s (Though I've not looked deep enough at this moment so you could just tell me that and I would still be clueless).

And then we're here. I was born pretty late to see all of its heyday, and to actually contribute something meaningful to the site during those times but now...

I think I'll start changing that.

This is just amazing. The form, the fluency, the color, the everything about this really... hope you submit some more! Would be cool to see what else you do. Looks like a pretty unique style.

And that ramble was fun to read too. :) Happy you found your way here! And interesting to know the podcast brings people in too... I knew about Jazza bringing people in with his occasional challenge/contest thing. He's been like a magnet so long but that was new.

Thank you! It's cool to hear that you enjoyed it that much. I'll see if I can make something like this, provided that I have time and inspiration. My stuff is incredibly varied, as I don't have that much of a set style. Whenever I do art, I just have fun most of the time.

And I'm also glad that you enjoyed the ramble, I keep thinking about if it was a bit weird to ramble on in a submission, like should I make my own post about it? Or just shut up? But it looks like it didn't matter as much as I thought it would. And yeah, the tweet that lead to the podcast and the recent popularity of Among Us / Henry Stickmin has definitely caused the traffic to this site to go up. I saw quite a few new accounts that have some HS character as their icon so we could assume that it's not just the podcast that's bringing in people.
