This model of a Roman chariot racetrack was made in Google Skechup 8 (the free version) then imported into and re-textured in iClone. The model took all morning to complete and is just over 21,000 faces (if you count both sides of the face, it's ~42,000 faces). Most of the effects are achieved through lighting and texturing, although there are many subtle changes done to the actual mesh that help the model achieve its look.
You may use this in any project as long as I am attributed as the original creator. Critique is requested, but please be constructive (or at least SAY what is wrong).
As a last remark, this is not supposed to be 100% historically accurate. It is a deviation upon classical designs to make a new design that is quite a bit more along the lines of 'fantasy'. White marble is not as interesting as gold and tan stone with rough bits.
