The Black Monk of Pontefract is/was a poltergeist who harassed a family who lived in a seemingly average house in Pontefract, England back in 1966. The origin of this being was a monk who was put to death for murdering & raping a young woman. From dragging their daughter by the neck, cold gusts of wind out of nowhere, appliances & drores acting strange, & other strange phenomena, it was incredibly overwhelming to deal with mentally, emotionally and even physically. It got to a point where they tried to get an exorcist to bless the place but allegedly the exorcist got scared away when the cross he was carrying was broken right in front of him. Funny. People to this day still report weird things happening in the house to this day which has lead to ghost hunters & paranormal investigators scoping out the place trying to find the ghost.

It’s a real place you can visit irl. There have also been sightings of the black monk around the house he haunts. I usually focus on UFOS & Aliens but I also pay attention to other paranormal stuff too, this poltergeist case in England being one of many of them.
