Witches. In Dowazh they are pretty well liked. They play a crucial role in society and religion, albeit one that's different than on Earth. In Dommun culture, a witch is essentially a combination of the roles of monks, physicians, and gardeners. They pray into glass mirrors, give treatments, and plant herbs in the same day.

Being carnivores, Nuna have a unique relationship with plants. They can eat them, but they cannot eat sweet things and do not gain much nutrition from plants. The largest use case for plants, then, is medicine. Before industrial times, families often had their own gardens filled with plants. Since religion was more closely connected to personal health in ancient times (and because growing herbs is a valuable skill for monks), a niché for witches had spawned to help with spiritual and medical needs. They were so useful that witches often grew as influential as herders in the same communities, who also served as monarchs. To maintain order, queens often chose to marry witches, leading to the herder-witch system Dommun women often marry themselves into.

Anyways, this is Zhovvuv, one of those witches. She and her wife, Intobu, are both important members of their yet-to-be-named city's council. She likes being there for people.

Also I changed the font for the name because as much as I like it, Alte Haas Grotesk is looking pretty generic at this point. It's still good for things like readability though, so I still used it in some parts here.
