EDIT: I'm planning on lightly revamping this character at some point, because I got a better idea for a backstory, and I don't know if I still want her to be superpowered or not.

Ariel was one of Dr. Christoff’s volunteer test subjects. Part of Project Seraphim, she and several others were exposed to Nexus energy from the Keystone Fragment. One of the four successful attempts, she gained the ability to levitate, create shields, and heal, but never the full power we see Jebus with when wielding the Fragment, later.

Shortly before Dr. Christoff betrayed Project Nexus, he sent her and the other test subjects away, telling them to remain hidden to prevent them from being used as weapons, but to no avail. She was captured and cryogenically frozen. By the time she was freed, years had passed. She woke up shortly after the events of Project Nexus, (the damage done to Nexus HQ shutting down the machine she was in) to find a world plunged in chaos. Not knowing what else to do, she searched for Dr. Christoff, hoping he could help her...
