i remember why i started to love this game. it was because of the portal gun! kid me was fascinated by it, how it worked and what it allowed the player to do. i havent seen anything like it. and, at the time, i remember that the aperture labs promo videos of the various tech theyve made were being put on youtube, and i particularly remember the long fall boots one sticking in my head.

anyway, the thing that blew me away the most was the ending. shooting a portal to the moon is insanely cool, the way it ties into what we were told from old aperture, and the turret opera sendoff is perfect. one of the best games of all time.
