The Pale Guard are the footsoldiers of the Nightmare Parade Phobandeus. Able to be conjured en masse by the members of the Parade, they may not be strong but they are more than capable of instilling fear into the average citizen and with multiple versions that each have their specialties, a hero going up against them should be prepared for anything.

The inspiration for the Pale Guard is No worries! It's a long string of thoughts that evolved from the base concept of the color guard position in a band. Pale can be seen as the opposite of brightly colored so there was that initial swap to make it more ghoulish but from there I realized certain band uniform hats look vaguely like buckets. What's another word for buckets? Pails. So then they became a pale colored color guard coming out of a paint pail. As for their weapons, the one is a pole arm banner with elements of an eighth note while the other is a rifle with elements of an eighth rest.
