"Trunks Ascending"

11x14 Acrylic and Ink on Canvas.

Trunks is my all-time favorite Dragon Ball Z character, and aside from filled notebooks of drawings from my childhood, I've never really expressed this artistically. I actually meant to post this a week ago, as July 2nd marked the 27th anniversary of Trunks' first appearance in the original DBZ manga, but the painting needed just a little bit more time in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber before I was ready to post it. Regardless, I hope you enjoy. This isn't exactly my typical art style, but I hope to create more paintings like this in the future, so any feedback or pointers for figuring out these anime characters is definitely appreciated!

Had a little extra fun on the sides of the canvas :)

OH HEY DBZ! Lol nice man! fuckin love how you drew his hair too, trunks ' is one of my favorite characters aswell, he just didn't givea FUCK, jussst the way i like em ;)

LittleLuckyLink responds:

Thanks! The hair took me forever to get to an acceptable point lmao. I think Trunks looks super extra badass with his longer hair, so I couldn't pass this up. His character (at least future Trunks) was always so epic and mysterious. Definitely gonna make some more Trunks paintings in the future :)
