I love this aesthetic.
I've always really loved this kind of visual. A static shot of a weapon or other sort of item left to be claimed by nature. The subgenre of this trope, the "giant robot that sat down after a battle and is now being consumed by nature" is also a personal favorite of mine.
I never really liked Xenoblade Chronicles, and didn't like the other games in the franchise, but the title screen for Xenoblade Chronicles has always struck a chord with me.
It's a really strikingly beautiful display of minimalism, easily one of my favorite title screens in video games.
The semester is finally over, I'm already feeling much more relaxed. Lots more art coming soon! Hope that you and yours are all doing well, too!
Dog bless, my friends.
EDIT:
Thank you all so much for the Frontpage! As a treat, have this variant image!
I owe my friend Aedea(@sycorase on twitter) a big thanks for suggesting the idea.
The number of people who get both references the gravestone is making has to be incredibly small, I'll be genuinely shocked if anyone does.
Thanks again, everyone! From the bottom of my heart.
I love this aesthetic.
Me too! It’s really beautiful, isn’t it?
Yes, these shots tells us about many stories and what once happened you're right especially in reality if some places are like this they're one of a kind.
You hit the nail right on the head!
ah good to see you get frontpaged :^)
Thanks, bro!
It feels good to BE frontpaged lol
this looks amazing dude, if only square enix did something cool for kh4 where post-game the title screen is something like this. would be a cool curveball. either way the composition's great. the keychain being broken is a nice touch, and the sky looks great.
Thank you so much! I'm glad you like it!
I agree, I think this'd make a great end screen or post-finale title screen. Just a nice final image for the game and franchise as a whole to go out on. The broken keychain was a small but nonetheless important detail.
I'm proud of how this turned out, thank you so much for your feedback!
These are beautiful images, the one with mechas are my favourite! You really captured the theme and even made a nice gravestone to a game series that is fucked up beyond salvation XD
Images like that feel so niche, but they scratch a very specific itch of mine.
I'm glad I did! I wouldn't say Kingdom Hearts is fucked up beyond salvation, but it's definitely dead and buried. The franchise meant a lot to me, and had a big influence on me in my formative years, so it was only right to pay respect to it.
