I haven't seen either of them so I can really judge but still the pic is really cool and I like the cape and Bat's pose so I'm happy XD
A suggestion from my buddy @citalopram-overdose, rendering The Batman 2022 in the style of The Batman 2004. Rhat’s like, The Batman squared.
I’m a huge fan of both the show and the movie—the show was the one I grew up with, it was one of the biggest impacts on my understanding of Batman, and also inspires me to this day as an artist. The movie was just as inspiring, and some parts of it brought back the feelings the show gave me when I was younger, without feeling like it was compromising its own creative vision and identity.
Do you think these two fit together? Let me know!

Dude, this is an absolute banger. There is a dynamic feel to this one. Also blurring out the moon helps the forefront stand out more. Also that building must have been a lot of work to draw. It came out well! How you shaded the piece in different places with what I’m guessing was an airbrush tool helps things stand out more and not blend with each other.
Thank you so much, I put a lot of work into this one—very happy to see it connecting with you! I used a few different airbrush and spray tools to get softer but still distinct textures.
I like the use of darker black shading in this one. Not sure if the pose is a direct frame reference, but it matches the 2004 show really well. Just got done re-watching it recently too.
I went back to a few episodes of the show myself(mostly to gather references), so this is more of an approximation of several poses than a direct reference to the single one. The 2004 show has been and always will be a huge inspiration to me—so I’m glad I was able to match it!
Very cool!
Very reddit!
Edit: thanks for the idea, kind stranger!
