Jeez, it feels like it was only yesterday that I was passing 500 followers. Where does the time go? Like last time, I drew characters submitted by you guys. The technical issues I was having seem to have resolved themselves, so I can draw regularIy again! I'll recap them in the order I drew them, so it might get a bit sporadic. Let's get started!
Starting in the bottom left, we have Spiders-Man, requested by @JoshSketch's friend, so a friend of a friend. Spiders-Man is a variant of the Peter Parker we all know and love, with his unique brand of weirdness being that he is actually thousands of spiders that think they're Peter Parker. It's something so comically deranged that I kind of love it. Besides adding spiders crawling all over him, I colored and shaded his costume to be much more faded. Minor differences like that help him stand out from a friendly, everyday Spider-Man.
Above him, we have the Big G himself; Godzilla, as requested by @MercKaiju. He and someone else both suggested that I should try my hand at drawing monsters, and I'm fairly pleased with the results. I'm not terribly familiar with Godzilla as a franchise, having only seen a small handful of his movies. His appearance here is based on the 2004 movie Godzilla: Final Wars, which I haven't seen, but am certainly intrigued by. Goji's demonic eyes and the gator-like spikes running down his head make him especially savage- looking.
Thirdly, and capping off the left side, is Nia of Xenoblade Chronicles 2, requested by @Qwuazzi. As you may now, I've never been into RPGs much at all, but I can't turn down a man's humble request for a catgirl. This special gave me the opportunity to really stretch my muscles as an artist, and draw characters I wouldn't have normally. Nia seemed very daunting to draw at first, but came together well as I broke down the layers of her outfit(though, to be fair, I drew very little of it, lol).
Jumping to the middle of the right row, we have Loona from Helluva Boss, requested by @andymoo. Still not sure if I drew all three non-human characters in a row intentionally. I have an extremely limited knowledge of Loona, the series she hails from, and its sister series Hazbin Hotel, but I'm at least familiar with how popular they are. Loona especially seems to be hugely popular, and it's not hard to understand why. She's got a super expressive and fun design, I can see why so many people latched onto it!
Below her is an uncharacteristically busty Kaede from @elsurudoiha1, from the series Manyuu Hikenchou. Like I said to him when he requested this, I have no knowledge of her or the series she hails from, but even the briefest research revealed that one of her defining traits in canon is not being well-endowed.
But I'm a man of my word, and I got down with the thiccness.
Ooh wah ah ah ah.
Jokes aside, Kaede's pretty cute, even when drawn so... overexaggerated. Her outfit and hair were particularly fun to render.
Second-to-last, and smack in the middle, is Guilty Gear character Jam Kuradoberi, requested by @Kyo85. I only have a cursory knowledge of the games she's from, but as @Sutikku-Zu said I would, I ended up loving her design. I mashed details of different designs of hers I found together, but tried my best to ensure that she was still recognizably herself. I was initially super confused by her hair, but as I was working on it, I found it more and more endearing.
Last(but certainly not least!) is @metalsonic655's OC Jennifer Halton at the top of the right row. I've drawn one of his OCs before, but had always meant to draw Jen at some point. I was looking forward to drawing her, and I'm very happy with how she turned out!
Thanks again for everyone following me, I hope that I continue to make art that you enjoy! I'm looking forward to what the future brings, and I hope you are too.
Also, I made a video answering questions submitted alongside character requests. Check it out if you're interested!
