Saberan was the 48th Kaiju who served as Monster of the week in Ep.32 – "Aizenborg has Died!?" - in the Dinosaur Great War Izenborg series.

_Bio and Abilities_

Physically, Saberan was a Dinosaur/Insect Hybrid; possessing the body of a Triceratops but lacking the head plate; instead it possess pincers and horns representative of Beetles specimens, with two extra horns on the side of the head and two smaller spikes in the back. It was one of the toughest monsters Aizenborg fought, having beat him through its time limit in the first round, giving the impression the Humanoid had not only been defeated, but killed. It would appear again to help Grottes when he came under attack by the JSDF and IzenTwo under Prof. Torii's command before Aizenborg reappear to save the day. Its only abilities were burrowing, ramming, piercing and grabbing the enemy with its two large pincers.

A 2nd Saberan is seeing strolling with the other Monsters in the final episode of Izenborg.

The Saberan costume would be the final modification and use of the Triceratops suit in Izenborg, been the longest serving of the suits which created Eight individual Monsters for the series – Chirako, Monora, Mororo, Murara, Garara, Topura, Demos and Saberan. It would be converted back to the standard form for the next Tsubaraya Production Dinosaur Theme series, Dinosaur Squadron Koseidon.

_Story_

The story starts with a near accident experience between Zen and Ai and a Trucker and his child (Tagashi) – the latter cause by rip off tire – when Saberan launches its attack on Tokyo; Izenborg responds to the emergency and the monster rips through the District, the Tanks unable to stop it and to make matters worst, its attack blocks many escaping vehicles, including the truck Father/Son truck; the Sibling Cross and try to take it out with the Folding Cutters, but Saberan avoids, then goes after the escaping vehicles, debris falling on them and Tagashi been hurt in the process.

In that moment another building leans precariously over them and the Siblings Combine into Aizenborg, who then holds the Building to save the Father and Tagashi, but Saberan attacks the Humanoid – IzenTwo comes to their help, but only distracts the monster enough before its taken down, still allows the Parent and Child to escape, but at the cost of Aizenborg's time limit, as Saberan continues its assault on the Humanoid, finally retreating with heroe's power used up – Aizenborg shuts down and falls dead on the floor exploding, to horror of Torii and the rest of the team.

After a search in the ruins of the district shows no sign of the siblings, HQ provides a small memorial when Grottes calls, in mocking victory, plus giving an ultimatum of Surrender. Torii holds a meeting with JSDF mounting a plan, while at the Hospital, Tagashi lies unconcious due to his wounds.

Later, with the deadline approaching, Grottes in his Giant form meets up with Torii, where the Professor springs his trap with a full Squadron of JSDF Tanks and IzenTwo – Grottes calls Saberan to attack but the battalion fires at it – Grottes provides support to the Kaiju by demolishing the JSDF tanks with its whip. IzenTwo tries to bomb Saberan from the air, but paid load fails to hit its mark and the flier is hit and taken down by the Beast, who then pursues Ippei and Barra, in the process, a section of the road collapses into the underground subway, where the Super Izenborg came to crash after the last battle, with Zen and Ai still alive, but weak and de-powered.

The siblings come to realize they are close to the Subway's Electric rail, and with the little energy in its system, the Super Izenborg crawls to the line and absorbs the electricity by connecting with it, recharging and takes to the surface to fight the Monster, to the cheers of Ippei and Barra – briefly cut by the Trucker interloping wanting revenge on the beast for the harm done to his son, though he stop by the members of D-Squad. Ai and Zen then take off and combine into Aizenborg, knocking Saberan down before it could crush Torii – Grottes retreats and Saberan is left to deal with giant Humanoid in a second Round.

The 2nd fight goes with Aizenborg holding its ground, but Saberan still retains the edge due to its Pincer hold; the Giant Humanoid uses its Double Katana attack to slice these off, then slices the Beast in Half, dispatching it quickly. After the battles, the group meet up with the Trucker and Tagashi, relief he is okay.
