So you know how I mentioned that Chip sometimes forgets all about lab safety due to his adaption powers?
...Look, work with me here, this is relevant to this chick's story.
Anyways, that's actually how Dusk and Chip initially met. Chip had been messing around with one of his experiments, and had accidentally caught Dusk in one of the blasts. This invention was actually a nitrous based freeze ray, and he'd accidentally frozen Dusk solid. Whilst thawing him out, Dusk and Chip got to know each other better, and while initially annoyed at the crazy, scruffy scientist, Dusk had to admit that he was interested in all the interesting stuff Chip invented on a daily basis. The two started hanging out more and more, and eventually (in an origin story I will explain later,) they gained powers from a combination of experiments going off at once. From that point, they, along with the others caught in the blast, resolved to act as pseudo superheroes for their hometown, if only to have something to do for fun.
Now, that's how Dusk and Chip met in OUR universe. Bianca here, is from a rather...different timeline.
Instead of testing out a freeze ray, Chip had attempted to test a proto-TG device. However, it was because of Dusk that he would eventually gain a better understanding of TG in general, so this device was highly unstable. It still managed to hit Dusk, turning him into a female form. Needless to say, being the first time he'd ever been TG'd, he freaked out. Chip rushed out to try and help out this stranger, but it was no use, the devices instability led to the change becoming a permanent one for Dusk. This was his new body, and he was terrified. More than the actual change itself, Dusk was worried about its implications:
"Who would honestly recognize me in this form?"
"How will I get back home? I'll be viewed as a stranger by my own parents!"
"This body has literally no history, no social security, no nothing!"
Chip tried to calm her down, but the truth of the matter was that the newly female Dusk was right. While she still had similar features...along with some impressive other features, (sorry, I had to, heh heh), she had no proof that what had happened to her was true or not. Everyone just denounced her as a quack. With nowhere to turn, she lived with Chip in secret for a while, becoming more and more depressed with every day that passed. Dusk's parents, however, were quick to panic and search for their missing son. The search turned up fruitless, and would officially end in about a month from the disappearance, but his parents would continue looking, always hoping.
Days would pass, experiments and tests would be done on Dusk, and every time they'd end in nothing. With no hope in sight, Dusk was getting increasingly more and more resentful towards Chip, along with her depression. One night, after a particularly intensive experiment that seemed like it would almost work, Dusk exploded all her anger and stress upon Chip, stomping out of his lab and into the woods nearby. Whilst there, she let her anger stew, eventually thinking up of a plan to get revenge on the one who did this to her. In the dark of the night, she made her way back to Chip's lab and stole a large majority of his inventions. Chip had actually been alerted to the theft already, but was too late to catch the girl. He managed to just about see her leaving with large number of technology with her far away, and he shouted at her to re-think her decision. Sure, he was mad at her theft, but he was more worried about the girl than anything else. Turning back to see Chip, Dusk's anger flared once more, and she recklessly tossed one of his devices onto the floor to taunt him.
Baaaaad decision.
Most of Chip's inventions at this stage were unstable, including this orb of strange, fluid metal. It was built to be a residue capture for all of the excess energy Chip's inventions tended to produce, and so it had a ton of unstable, and very improbable potential. The second the ball touched ground, Dusk disappeared. She'd been tossed into the space between universes, bouncing around alternate timeline to alternate timeline against her will. At first, the bounces were rapid and disorienting. Dusk went mad rather quickly, as inter-dimensional travel for a person with no understanding of metaphysics had no idea how to grasp what was going on. Pretty soon however, the bounces slowed down. She was able to spend more and more time in-between the dimensions she traveled, learning and exploring the vast multiverse. She even learned to understand how to use most of Chip's inventions, managing to control where and for how long she could jump between dimensions. Spending so long jumping had left her mind warped a bit, however. She adopted the moniker Bianca et D'Noire to disguise herself wherever she went, and she gained a mischievous personality in between it all, concerned with only satisfying her desire for more and more hilarious chaos, if only to nullify her from thinking about her situation. She would always look for a laugh, and while not overtly evil, she would be a rather big nuisance in whichever universe she'd pop in on. She'd also make it her mission to seek out every dimensions Dusk, and mess around with their lives a bit before it was time to leave to the next universe. And so, she continues to do that to this day, apparently deciding to go after our universes Dusk this time around...
