Reviews for "Sanguine 2"

Generally it was a well made, good game which required skill! I came back every day for about 3 days to continue playing it which I do only when I like a flash game.

However what frustrated me was the WORD PUZZLE. Even after reading the hints, I could not find that word. I found it by pure luck when I woke up the next morning and I was between a sleep state and awake trying to think what the word could be. I thought one that made some sense. So I opened my PC, tried it, and BOOM! It was correct. Maybe I had a more clear mind that time but in my opinion I was just lucky. My point is this puzzle is not fair for the non-English players as they have disadvantage. This puzzle is not about skill, its about how well you know the english language and I dont believe its worth wasting so much time on this...At least it would be better giving more hints. So for the players who want the solution to this puzzle keep reading otherwise stop here. I will give it encoded in order to not spoil it to users who read it accidentally ; So if you want the solution just remove the numbers and here you go --> 123T423E243E987T975H

I hope this helped.

Also the keys are a little bit strange... This is not such a big problem as you can setup new ones by the menu but after finding that option I was already used to the default ones. So maybe it would be better to use other keys as default.

So generally it was a good game which I really enjoyed playing just except of these 2 things so I give it 4.5 stars.

Congrats for your work and keep it up!

this game is really interesting and has good gameplay , sprites , and music but its challenging at times but besides this game is really good :D

Really awesome, enjoying it so far ;P There's a lot to improve on, (It's a little too floaty, the air attack is super slow and the chain mecanics... eh- I tried to avoid the chain- it feels like it should be a near instant thing, at the moment you need to press it almost as soon as you left the ground xD

Still have yet to complete the game- stuck on the word puzzle in the mansion- I'm not the best at these kind of puzzles- pale... bites... doesn't talk but whispers... 5 letters- ah- I'll get through it eventually- using brute force or waiting for a guide xD

RayBeckham responds:

Not whispers, they whistle! They're under your eyes but you can't see them. I'm serious when I say they bite! Some are pointy, others are flat.

This game is good, but dying, instead of feeling like something that can help me get better at the game, is annoying. Not annoying as in i want to rage over it. Annoying in a way in which dying is more of a fault of not doing something that the level design commands. When i die and it's because of the level and not slow reflexes of something like that, it doesn't help my over all skill improve but rather my skill of that particular level. To be honest, the ice level specifically seems like pretty poor level design. I read people saying this game is like Legacy of Kain and Catslevania, both of which i haven't played in a while, so maybe that may be it.

Everything is decent. The animation seems to flow smoothly enough, the vampire mechanics intriguing, and the story- from what I know of it- seems to hint at something more. However, I didn't have fun playing this. Why? The hook and chain is slow and limited, making platforming difficult. The buttons, as well, do not feel very comfortable. Having the ring finger on the jump button seems a little counter-intuitive to a platformer. And finally, the most grievous offense is the slippery nature of the player character's movements. These slippery controls make platforming unnecessarily hard and frustrating. To a platformer, this is the most damning, as precision jumps are the focus of them. The tightness of the controls is he thing that determines the enjoyment of a player, and I have to say, unfortunately, this game is ruined because of this one factor.
