The beginning felt too rushed.

Well, I have to rush *some parts because it's just a short vn. And for the dots that keep annoying people, it's common among vn's to have em.

Super-cute story and interesting art. Good music too. However I should point out that, out of everything, this lacks one of the greatest features (one that I consider the linchpin of VNs) that is the multiple choices that change both minor and major points & paths of the plot. Without choice, VNs become plain books.
If you do a sequel, you should really consider adding multiple choices for the story. For instance, in this game you could have included the following choices:
1- Apologizing to Hanako when first met or just ignoring.
2- Going to the rooftop or not, after reading the letter
3- (if at #2 you chose to go) run away from hanako or holding ground
and many more different choices that may end the game prematurely, thicken the plot or lead to interesting sides of it. That's the essence of VNs.

Sorry for the lack of choices. I was going to add them in the beginning but I decided not to because of *some problems.
First of all great job creating a heartwarming story, but, if you have a sequel in the making I recommend having some drama, because not everything specially in a visual novel needs to be happy in order to play it safe. The visual novel part of the game felt in a way kinda short -good but short- if you were to mix it with elements of choice like the dating sim mode it would add some immersion to the characters. I personally think that this story can become something better with the required time and passion to do so. Am I asking for too much? Probably. Anyway I'll look forward your next project.
