Reviews for "She."

Okay, now that was anticlimactic. "She will find you." That describes everyone from your mother up to your psychotic ex-GF. And sometimes co-workers.

Sorry - even the dialogue can't save this one. Choppy, plotless, random switches - it's the platform equivalent of an "escape the room."

That being said, for a last-minute final, it ain't half bad. but it ain't half good either. If it was me, I'd cut the "*inaudible*" out of the dialogue completely. If it's inaudible, why is it on a recording? Better words can be found.

The concept of a she/he/it/thing/nameless horror is old stuff. But it can be done well, with the proper setup. I would recommend studying Edgar Allen Poe or H. P. Lovecraft for guidance. Then drink heavily to avoid nightmares.

Long and short, 3/5. you got a good seed, but it needs longer to grow. Put this one away, then look at it again in six months. Think Metroid.

Can I skip to the heavy drinking part already? ;-)

Jokes aside, I agree that the level design should be further improved and I'm totally aware of the cheap narrative. Thanks for playing and for the Metroid hint!

Well, on the one hand, you went for a certain atmosphere and you nailed it pretty well. The graphics, sound, all great. The gameplay was all right. There were a couple of problems, though...First, the bit where you have to jump downward into the field that pushes you upward; I tried that for about 5 minutes and it looked completely impossible. I went and explored every other area, and it seemed like I was totally stuck. Finally, just before I was about to write a review about how it was impossible, I went back and tried it once more on a whim, and just managed to do it. So, it's possible, but I ALMOST gave up. And the other thing is...well...what's the point? I went through and nothing really happened; I didn't actually accomplish anything by going through the game. It wasn't at all satisfying. It just left me thinking "Well, that was dumb".

Im giving up at that point that @Listen2Reason mentioned. :(

Graphics are pretty awesome though. I was pumped to see where the story was heading.

It's all fine and dandy, but there's only 2 puzzles in the game.
Plus, it's pretty generic.

The atmosphere, style and the feel of the game are all top-notch! Unfortunately it still felt more as an introduction to a cool larger game than a self-contained short one.

I'd love us to get some closure in the form of an escape sequence, final fight, something that would give us payoff for all the goosebumps accrued while walking around and explain a bit of the mystery.

It would be great to see this game elaborated upon.
