Reviews for "Red Vs Arceus- first 1/4"

Great music selection. The still want to live in their world songs are all great selections and this one was perfect for helping build up the tension and hype for the fight.

this has so much promise, it is very disappointing to hear you have let this project go, I'd say keep working on it, regardless of how long it takes you to finish it, this just looks too good, we didn't even get to see the start of the actual battle lol, talk about a cliff hanger, but that isn't my place to tell a fellow flash artist what they should do, I hope you revisit the idea of finishing this later on in your career. Solid 5 star but because of the cliff hanger I'm giving a 4.5 lol

I had done this about 5 months ago and had been working on it nonstop. I believe my problem was that I tackled it too ambitiously and burned myself out working on it.. I'm not sure what has changed since then, but the project I'm working on now is coming along much faster and of (in my opinion) greater quality. I don't want to get hopes up, but as long as I pace myself I may very well end up returning to it someday. Plus I'm already getting worked up in new ideas I wasn't going to include in the original.

This is pretty great. I love Pokemon so I might be a little biased, but I really hope you come around to finishing this. Red v Arceus is a great idea and I don't know anyone else who has tried to make an adaptation of it. I see that you have a lot of talent so you're perfectly capable of making a good one.

Hope you find the initiative to finish this. Cheers!

What programs did you use?

TiganAnimation responds:

All the animation was done in Toon Boom, the snow in After Effects, and composited with PowerDirector.. :)

At least take it as far as to showing the pokemon that comes out XD

But I get it that you stopped working on it. Looking at the backgrounds, and putting in the little bits of extra effort in the little motions like the hair and clothes. If you do happen to continue, you should probably turn down the quality by a pretty big notch, like being more lazy on the backgrounds and draw less details on the characters. Cause if you wanted to keep the whole look consistently and have it be all epic with the action and choreography, it'll be way too much work for one guy.

And I know. Cause my own project if becomming too big of a beast, for it's own good (and I didn't even draw the visuals) and that can be demotivating as hell.

But if you really want that motivation, all I can say is: stop giving a crap about it being good and just work on it for shits and giggles without any expectations. Cause if you want to finish it to prove something (wether it's to yourself or to anyone else), you're just gonna end up dissapointed anyways. But if you expect it to be shitty and just try stuff on it for fun or experimentation, it might come out supprisingly well.

And since you gave up anyways it wont be a spoler: What was Red's line-up of pokemon going to be?
