Reviews for "Kill the Rabbit"

I killed both.

Wait, at the the same time!? I need to try that out, lol.

I really liked the concept of this game, and how well the music settled the player into a mysterious atmosphere. Motor controls were very smooth on my end, but perhaps a little fast. Both endings were very unexpected turns; it really makes you think about what's going on inside that fox's head.
I would recommend adding some more buttons (eg. replay, mute), and maybe fixing that small glitch with the double jump. Still a nice game, overall!
I look forward to more of your games in the future!!

Thanks a lot! I think I'll add some GUI to the game for more features. I've always shied away from the UI because I was scared they could mess with atmosphere but I think its purpose is warranted. I think I might also add a level select type menu for this. Time constraints made me cut a lot of juicy things and focused only on the meat, but I think I can go back into it and do some touching up. Thanks for the review!

I really enjoyed this game, a tad frustrating for the novice gamers, however it was a great thought provoking game. The addition of the quotes elevated it for me by becoming a story that continues each time I complete a level. Loved the ending, how it breaks away from the traditional 'Yay, you beat the game!!' to more of a 'There is no real "win".' and I found that to be really cool. Plus, great music! :D The only thing I can really say is to maybe shorten how far the fox's lunge extends to, because there were times where the fox would lunge too far and kinda die so yeah.

But other than that, Great job. :D it was an awesome game.

This game was pretty unique, and both endings weren't what I expected, and I love it when games surprise me. This was a pretty good game, the controls worked, and I was entertained throughout the whole game. Keep up the good work!

Every time there's a game jam, you can find sweet little gems like this sprinkled around Newgrounds. A very interesting ending, where there doesn't really seem to be a winner after everything has taken place. Verrrryyyy interesting.

trixelbit responds:

Thank you for the kind words. Looking back at the game, I realize how much I left ambiguous in terms of the back story and volition behind what is happening. The ending was kinda what tied the theme of deception in so I'm glad you saw the intrigue of it :D. I think it leaves interesting material and lore to explore in possible future games.
