Reviews for "GRAVITY"

I've made the same mistake countless times because the guy has a tendency to move too fast in one key tap. In other words, he takes an extra step forward to his death. Nerf plz.

Primajin responds:

Hey :) - I don't feel that he does, the movement feels very crisp to me but I'll take a note of it

Damn, it seems like I've been playing a lot of challenging games lately. I was really impressed at just how hard this was. You could die dozens of times on one level. In fact, it reached a point where that was the ONLY thing I could do. The music is quite nice.

It's weird to have a game that's both hard and addictive. Of course, maybe one causes another. Your design seems familiar. Everyone should have a hard time with this. It probably works best as a puzzle game. You really have to figure out just what to do.

Fun game! Nice visual style, and the controls are really responsive and crisp. The gravity concept isn't original but it's done pretty well. Someone else mentioned it too, but one of the things that bugged me was the heavy blocks. I thought it was really counter intuitive because that's not how gravity works, heavy things fall at the same rate as lighter things, so it took a while to get used to it, and even then it was kinda frustrating. Another niggly thing is with the level design, some of the levels just have identical challenges back to back. It just seems more unfair than challenging, because the player already did it once. But I'm just nitpicking, it's a simple game executed pretty well. Good job! :D

Primajin responds:

Hey thanks :) - Heavy things do fall the same, but denser objects fall faster I'm pretty sure, for example a sheet of paper and a scrumpled up sheet of paper, I'm no physicist though so that could be completely wrong haha. I'll keep the thing about the puzzles in mind :)

I don't know why in the world this game lags for me. But it does.
The other downsides are: bad response of the controls, which disallows good timing and agility things.
But I like the idea. Actually, something like that was sumbitted before... The There Is Only One Level or whatever its name is.

Primajin responds:

Hey there, I tested the game on a couple of older laptops and it ran well enough, so I'm afraid I have no suggestions for the lag :( the controls are responsive, but it would seem if the game lags so too does the input, I will maybe try to patch in a low quality version for less powerful machines. Thanks :)

gg, cool graphics and all... but just want to be a snob and point out that this is not how gravity works. dv/dt is approximately a constant *independent of mass (famous galileo pisa experiment). or size given that air resistance is not really introduced in this mechanics (not to mention more area only gives more resistance).

a serious comment on the "gamability" ... i think it turns out to be more frustrating than fun for me because many level have a same puzzle format repeated over and over, exponentiating on a person's reflex success probability ... so not really puzzle rich per se.

Primajin responds:

Hey :) - I know that bigger things don't always fall harder, it's just an expression not to be taken literally. On the note of gamability, I will keep that in mind for the future, thanks :)
