Reviews for "GRAVITY"

im giving it 3.5 because it looks good, and it sounds good, but at least on my end it is virtually unplayable. of course i cant be sure whether it is the way the game is coded or if its just my computer being shit and no one else seems to be reporting the same issues, so im giving it the benefit of the doubt. i'm getting lots of lag and the character is falling through platforms like nobodies business.

Primajin responds:

Thanks :) - sorry the games been laggy for you, I've tested it on my old laptop and it was still pretty much fine so it could be a problem at your end. As for the falling through solids problem, it seems to only appear when the framerate is low, but I am patching a fix for that today :)

The game does everything it has to do right, but i feel this concept is just really overdone. I'd give a more indepth one, but that's really all there is. You covered all the steps you needed too, it's just that this is way too overdone.

GRAVITY is a well-done puzzle game with appropriately high difficulty level and great graphics. However, there's some room for improvement, especially considering movement control, since the character moves a little too chaotic - but maybe it's that kind of a game where it should be treated as another feature, not a flaw. Also, I've found a glitch: in some levels solid ground sometimes proves to be less than solid and my Gravity Guy suddenly falls into the void. Maybe it doesn't happen often, but you should fix the glitch in the next update, if there will be one.

Primajin responds:

Thanks for the review :). I felt the character moved quite smoothly and wasn't slippery or anything but I will take a note of it. I am having trouble recreating the solid ground glitch, could you pm me and let me know if it happens at any particular point in the level, or in any specific levels?

Thanks :)

the only thing that was good about this was the graphics...the gameplay is terrible and the ability to switch from different forces of gravity are not good...you should have givin more than an 1/8th of a second when you start falling to switch. i dont feel like this should be blammed but it needs work.

Primajin responds:

Thanks for the review. I am sorry you didn't like it but I'll keep your comments in mind for any future updates. You aren't able to switch at all when falling, I designed the puzzles around having to land after each switch.

The graphics are excellent.

The sound track is decent.

This doesn't feel like a gravity shift, but more of an awkward jumping mechanic. You can't shift in mid air, and you can't hop, so the only thing you can do is sort of move while falling. Which means that you have to be absolutely perfect in your shifts, or you're dead. Honestly, this is a fine way to make a platformer, but I prefer games to have more dynamic movement, so it's more skill based, rather than trial an error.

Primajin responds:

Thanks for the review, I'll keep it in mind for the next update :)
