Reviews for "_-{A Warm Wind in Avalon}"

I am continually impressed

Your work gets better with every new piece. This is excellent. For some reason, this piece reminds me of a village scene in some movie. Anyway, of all your pieces so far, i would have to say that this is my favorite. I like this style of music. Nice and peaceful, and yet not depressing as so many of these pieces can be. Well done.

MaestroRage responds:

The image I used for this piece was indeed that of a normal village life, hardworking, honest people, going through their lives to live it to the fullest.

Yes it is time for me to start putting some happier pieces up here, people must realize my scope is not just depressing. I'm glad you found the song enjoyable denvermagi, this is currently one of my personal fav's as well.

Thank you for the review and support, both are appreciated. I'm glad you liked the piece ^^.

Warm and serene...very nice

A very nice piece...a little slice of peace on the broadside of a sword. The piece starts out with a soothing melody, then it transcends into something more dynamic. Another story. A young child's life. Starts out on a grand journey to gain and use knowledge. He, for the first time, steps off the boundries of his village. He treaks across the continant, gathering knowledge as he travels. He is cautious however, knowing that there are many evils in the world. As he travels he gains many friends and tells them of his village. They are excited and wish to move to his village when he should return back home. As he travels back his friends wait, packed and loaded. They too say there goodbyes to their families and one father says to his son as he gives him a sword, "Cut your way through a uncertain future." And when they finally reach the village the boy realizes what to him is the most important thing is to him ever since he started. To have friends that are close to you and ones that you trust is to be at peace. And when trouble reaches you, you will have someone to help you through it. Keep up the good work Maestrow.

MaestroRage responds:

An excellent story Zen, this one gave me goosebumps. I can imagine this journey so well, these friends, these moments, the father scene.

It comes to me in great clarity and within mere minutes it's as if I have lived this child's life. The image was personally quite moving to me. I am very grateful you wrote this story for me Zen, it was as usual a great story to read. Thank you for the review and continued support, really means a lot to me.

Really good

Dear MaestroRage this one really good tune good job on it and i have to say ive heard some of your other stuff and they all are impressive. and becides you give me the inspiration to start making orchestral pieces thank you for that and thank you 4 your time.

MaestroRage responds:

Hello Dj-Rec0il. The lateness of this response may mean nothing to you know, but I have sworn that I will respond to each and every review, so help me, here I am.

I am glad at the time this song was able to inspire you. It brings me great joy that you have found a place in your mind to dwell on while listening, that is really all I want from any of these songs.

Best of luck to your musical journey, I wish it well! Thank you for the review, i'm glad you liked it!

Perfection is achieved by being you

I've listened to a good deal of things on newgrounds...
crappy midis
unmelodious tunes
repetitive, loud, obnoxious techno beats

And then an artist like you comes around and delivers pieces so beautiful that hope is restored to all of the Audio Portal.

Now it would be insufficient and downright insulting to say you are the only one, but I can easily say you are among my favorites (you and 2 others whom can be viewed through my favorites menu if you're interested :D). If you can suggest anyone else similar to your writing ability, I'd be glad to listen to more great music.

I read your news and how busy you are, and it's a shame that something like Math should hold back the creative process. Who needs math anyway? >.>

Well, the next time you aren't mathing away, I can only hope you will continue to create.

MaestroRage responds:

Hello 200monkeys. I apologize for the delayed response, but I will respond to all reviews, one way or another.

The portal is slowly evolving. When I first joined, redundent screeches and badly imported midi's seemed to be the norm. However slowly, more talent, more power arrives through its doors, and I think in a few years time, the portal will be a place of real talent.

I hope I will be there to greet those talents when they show up!

Thank you for your review, I am glad you liked the piece! I will continue to create, come hell or high water, I will continue!

Beautiful.

Another beautiful song. Very wonderful.

And 200monkeys... don't forget the people who submit actual songs from actual games or movies.

MaestroRage responds:

heh, those are good for a good laugh too. I wonder if people do it because they havn't read the rules, or just don't care. Maybe they think they could get away with it? Who knows.

In either case, I am glad you liked the piece, thank you for the review. You seem to like these serene types of pieces. I'd recommend going over to my MaestroSegments account EternalWashuFanboy, and listen to the first 10 or so songs. They are similar to style as this and Cloak of Wonderment, though made many many moons ago.
