Reviews for "_-{A Warm Wind in Avalon}"

Simply the best

I'll review this one first because this is my favourite of your songs. This is your BEST SONG EVER. It's simply incredible, I can hardly find suitable words for it. So peaceful, so soothing... and yet grandiose and epic. It makes me want to look at the sky and imagine undescribably beautiful landscapes, warriors in golden armor, huge white-towered cities, all glinting in the sunshine... If the perfect rpg was made, this would have to be in it. Everytime I listen to it it hits me like a freight train. Shockingly wonderful.
There, a vague description of my thoughts. I really mean it, every single word. Salutations to your skills, Maestro. Other reviews coming up too.

MaestroRage responds:

I like this piece a lot too. To be honest this melody came to me after listening to the river sound for about half an hour. I love landscape induced imagery, because they fill me with such a strange and peaceful feeling.

Your imagery suits the piece well, and I appreciated living in it for a while.

I'm glad you like this piece, thank you for the review ^^.

I CANT BELIEVE...

...I FORGOT TO REVIEW THIS.

Goodie!

MaestroRage responds:

XD

And I was wondering, did this number change?!

I guess it did! Thanks for the review phoenix! I'm glad you liked it ^^

Great

When I hear this, I think of the town of Ordon in Legend of Zelda: Twilight Priness. You are an amazing artist, I've listened to a lot of your work and I must say I'm very impressed. Keep up the good work!

MaestroRage responds:

Thank you, i'm glad you liked it! To be honest I have never played LoZ, and this is duely to my inability to get into it early on. Now I feel so alone when hardcore Zelda friends start argueing about something or other and i'm stuck standing there going "I really like Link's sword, it cuts things... :D!"

I'll try to keep producing, and continue telling these stories I am ever so fond of telling :D. Thank you for the review ^^, once again i'm glad you liked it!

That's nice...

I could definately see this as music for a tribe, a more peaceful one obviously = ).
I really like the small parts that were added, like the chimes, they added some effect.
Nice choir usage again. I also like the tune that is almost ongoing throughout the peace (pun intended ;), up until the last (tambourine?) shake. Seems like whenever the tambourine played, it signified a break in the tune.
I also like how that ongoing beat seems to be kind of a counter-melody or something to the flute part.
Man, this is just so nice, all of the melodies in this song just coexist so well, and combine in perfect harmony creating something beautiful!
I really like that.

Can't wait to see more pieces, and also, what is this Tribal Wars? A game? Anyway, I must check it out.

MaestroRage responds:

ah yes you noticed the constant flute melody did you? I decided it would be fun if I tried to make a whole song with that as it's backbone. It served as the lead at the beginning, and then purely as a form of counter melody from then onward!

Tribal Wars is a browser based game where you control a village, build it, wage war, kill or be killed. An entertaining pass time, but nothing more then that. I met some cool people there, and made this as an anthem for that tribe.

I'm glad you liked the piece Magi, thank you for the review ^^.

that was wonderful!

That was simply amazing XD First song I hear and im surprised it doesnt have more downloads XXD But its beautiful piece! You used FL for this? Just FL? if so, then you did a most masterful job XD All my 5 are belong to this.

MaestroRage responds:

Well i'm glad this was the first you stumbled upon, it's one of the better ones in my opinion. It is also perhaps the softest one I have.

I did use FL for this, but the sounds you're hearing have little to do with FL itself, I used VST's which are plugin libraries of samples of instruments sounds, some are rather large, like the one I used to make most of this is 14 gigs large, East West Symphonic Orchestra Gold (with an equally large... name)

Thank you for the review, i'm glad you liked the track ^^.
