Reviews for "DungeonUp"

nice game .... not obtain school out's medals :/ ... :(

The game in itself is pretty good. A bit too much waiting around (I know you don't want the yellow keys being too easy in Easy mode but it's still dull) but I was vaguely interested in the plot and enjoying getting myself strong enough to go back and kill lesser enemies without fear of damage just to get the gold.

However, you lose a star from me for not allowing a whole run-through before springing the "PAY TO CONTINUE!" thing on us, plus the medals didn't work for me.

Pretty good game, took me a 2nd playthrough on medium as hard was too hard 2nd area onward. I found that skipping upgrade untill the 2nd altar was the ideal way to beat the 2nd area and for the 3rd area nails hard, but interesting as it takes a level skip and some strategy for me to reach the 3rd altar for more upgrade and ninjaing the 3rd sword and armor upgrade then I just want rambo on the monsters around the 3rd area for money and upgrade jewels.

Try to remember that this is personal opinion and that always varies person to person. This is based on my personal experience.

I bought the full game and while it is fun, is can sometimes be rather unfair; almost unplayable in some cases For instance, I will find a sword or shield behind a creature that is nearly impossible to obtain. In one particular instance I was in mid-game levels. I gathered all of the strength and defense items throughout the levels (at great cost to health due to my lacking said shield) and spent all of my gold on power only to find out that if I attempted to gain the shield, I'd lose well over 1k health; causing unneeded and exceptional difficulty later on. This has happened a few times in my ~10 play-through's.

Also, there's the issue where the advertised player levels are extremely limited and/or unfinished. The site advertises "Over 20 player made levels" and you'll soon learn that this is a flat out lie. There are maybe 5 total that are even remotely worth playing (not counting the developer level.) I can't really blame the player base for this as the editor is ridiculous. The icons are tiny, the tiles limited (I really wanted access to grass and those mountain tiles I saw in the beginning of the main story) and even though scripting isn't needed, the process to put in "Events" is, to me, tedious and not very user friendly. And this is even if it loads properly. I tried just now and it took two times just to load.

The game just feels rushed and/or unfinished in some aspects.

Even though my review is somewhat negative, I'd still recommend the game. It's a fun time killer.

A joke for that price. Good game though.
