Reviews for "JUGGERNAUT II: Uprising"

Havn't played all the way yet, but been looking forward to this since the orginal. Thus far, have quite enjoyed myself.

The graphics are pretty simple, but perfectly suited to a game like this. Enemies remain distinct, and you can tell what things are supposed to be. Gameplay is easy enough, though a simple 'how to' on the main menu wouldn't hurt. I've only started on the plot, but seems to have a lot going for it.

The music and voice effects are good, but get very repetitive very swiftly. I'm not sure how you're doing on file size, but might look into having a couple of options, which randomly select when the effect trigger is set. ie, Aura having three or four things he might say upon ending a battle.

In all, seems a pretty solid RPG I'll be spending some time on this week. We'll see how it holds up over a longer period.

TheEnkian responds:

It's been a while since the first one, hasn't it? We actually started working on it properly about six weeks after the first one came out so it's been in production for quite a while. I hope you get a good bit of entertainment out of the plot, the game is pretty story-driven so hopefully you find the main characters likeable and the plot interesting.

Great game! Reminds me of the classic Rpg's on the SNES.
The only thing that bugged me is that there are to many random battles, so it's a good thing that you have a 100% chance to flee. I really wished there was an auto battle function in there. As it's getting tedious after a while.

I also had a crash in Kanneah, it happened after i payed Lea 5000n inside the house in the middle of a cutscene. No other bugs were found.

I love this game and i hope to play part 3 in the future. (if there's gonna be a part 3)

TheEnkian responds:

Thanks for the kind words! There most definitely is going to be a JUGGERNAUT III, it's planned as a four part series with a definite ending so expect them in the next year or two. Each will be bigger, better and more entertaining than the previous :)

Great Game you made, but i can't seem to find the steel that started with the letter A,and i had found cyber steel..but dunno where crystal essence is

TheEnkian responds:

Aero Steel? It's on the Aeratis creatures in South Farstal Plains. Crystal Essence can be earned from the Beast Master quests or by defeating the Cybeargator.

I'm actually enjoying this game. It took me a while to figure out how to craft and get nerrins, but the battle system is pretty easy to get used to, and the difficulty is just enough that it keeps me on my toes. It was a bit difficult without a healer character in the beginning though, but the healing items were cheap enough that I could buy a number of them.

I just one problem. Dagon suddenly disappeared from my party. I was switching people in and out of the party, and I left Aura and Dagon in reserve while Eryn, Lea and Shora were active. When I went to remedy having only three active characters, Dagon simply wasn't there anymore...

TheEnkian responds:

Wow, haven't heard of that bug yet. That's a pretty bad one! Any more details you can share? PM me or MSGHero.

Awesome game! But I wish the next have the option to be played only with keyboard. The bestiary would be great so you know which mob you have to kill to obtain the ingredients to craft weapons. Also more equipment to boost your defense, EP, HP, accuracy, evasion etc would be great. But overall is a giant leap forward from the first one. Congratulations!!! I'm waiting for the next one!
By the way, I can't find any woman after the Yidakna quest so I missed one sidequest :(.

TheEnkian responds:

I see from your medals that you've played through most of my games, thank you for the support! Yeah, the next game will probably have a few features in common with Ender Story like more equipment, a bestiary and so on. I'd like to make the same amount of leaps between II and III as there were between I and II.

She should be standing in the centre of Rondo somewhere. Try talking to everybody there and if she's not there, it must be a bug that caused her not to spawn. I'm honestly not too sure, a number of people have found her and got the medal, but others have said that she wasn't there for them.
