It's a decent little timewaster for a while, though contains a lot of annoyances, most of which I'm not sure whether to pin on bugs or just lazy design.
Cars are a major bitch in the later sections. Oncoming cars (which should be easier to notice, right?) have no warning whatsoever and are literally impossible to avoid when going upwards of 40 mph. In addition, after the desert section, cars come by more often than people. Their hitboxes seem sketchy at best as well.
From the desert section on, people are so scarce that it is nearly impossible to maintain your health without the weirdly rare powerups.
Some upgrades don't seem to work, or their effect is so minute that it makes no difference. I've maxed out the mutation chance upgrade, yet I still come across several hundred meter stretches with absolutely nothing.
The mutation upgrades themselves are outside of the duration bonus, useless. Despite having maxed all the mutations, with the exception of the tank every single one of them dies from the first obstacle/bullet that hits them. Most of them are also utterly useless. Puker's projectiles are barely any faster than your running speed at late game, bomber's actually are. Swag's special ability is insignificant and the control switch is a bigger hindrance than the lack of degeneration is a help. Charmer can be helpful at the carheavy sections, but once again due to health upgrades not working, it gets shot immediately after you get it. The only useful ones are the Brute and the Bolt.
The fact that you can't seem to rebind the boost key to anything is counter-intuitive, as you are left with either quickly moving the mouse around to use it or use spacebar for standard controls; and the spacebar is just not as good for it.
I don't know if this game has an actual ending, and a couple of the other comments seem to indicate that this is not the case. I haven't the patience to keep playing Infectinator: Hot Chase anymore to find out.
