Really, nothing new here. It's the same as pretty much any running game you can play on this site. I relize it's only an experiment, but it doesn't bring anything new to the table. it's hardly parkour when all you do is jump over stuff. I call this a pass.
-The object placement is pretty much horrendous; in the tunnels, the obstacles are more than half the time at the very front or very end, so that when either you enter you die, or you jump at the end, and either fall off, or land on the obstacle, then float off the edge since you don't have time to land again in the tunnel to jump. For obstacles not in the tunnel, they're usually well placed, though some times you get two obstacles placed too close together that you can't avoid them.
-As stated in the last point, the jump physics aren't well done either; holding space then floating down causes a lot of problems in not being able to jump quick enough to get over the next obstacle if the obstacles are closely placed, or if an obstacle is close to the edge of the platform or tunnel. Thus you should fall faster to make up for that.
-The music is pretty good though
So, Canabalt had better music, better graphics and animation, better obstacle system and was generally better. This one has a scoreboard. Which was instahacked. Yeah, good job.
What can I say that hasn't been said on this review section before? It's Canabal, but worse. Much worse.
