This was a really awesome story <3
I have never cried so hard when playing a game before. This was beautifully written and executed. The art could've been better, but I'm sure you had a deadline to meet. Incredible work!
Minor Spoiler warning, you've been warned!
It's an absolutely beautiful game. It's a sad story and it's very well executed. If it were any other way, it would have felt cheap. The swap between Luna and Agnes after Agnes wakes up from her coma is well executed and I found myself shedding just a few tears after the reveal of what Agnes was dealing with. While it doesn't really make sense why Luna told Agnes to ask Riki for answers, I didn't bother me too much. The ending choice had me stumped for a little while. It actually reminded me of the "To be" soliloquy from Hamlet. While suicide seemed to be, paradoxically, the "happiest" ending, I prefer the second ending because it shows a certain strength in Agnes and the uncertainty of her future is fitting. I personally want Agnes to have a happy life, but giving that denouement, that resolution, would have felt... cheap.
It's sad, it's a hard thing to think about, and I loved this graphic novel. I award this short, beautiful and somber story a 4.5 star rating.
...my heart exploded.
