Reviews for "Day X"

i usually quite like these sort of experience games, they can have interesting messages. but although i get this games message, the game can be quite hard (especially that lightning level, they're too quick and took me like a dozen attempts...) the controls were smooth, but there were too many enemies sometimes and i feel that it took away from creating this experience. i agree with some of the other comments. if the game was a bit longer (i know it was done in 48 hours) i think it could have given you room to expand further on the experience of being consumed by guilt. if you are willing, i would really like to see an extended version in the future :)

rottenmage responds:

Thank you! As the game was made in 48 hours, we were worried that it might become a game that the player just move right so we added more action. We hope to create a version where the player progressively "evolves" and the difficulty slowly increase with the character's growth.

I was ok, till the impossible last boss. Let me get this straight... I'm confined to a small space. Lightening is flashing so I can't move very far, and this dude jumps to exactly where I am. How does one win? Especially with the whole one hit death thing. Rethink your strategy and try again. I would have liked it if that was reasonable, but c'mon man.

rottenmage responds:

Ahhh that is a pity, you miss the way back home. Yeah the boss was slightly hard but we did not had to time to playtest and wanted to create a more epic boss. We hope to create a more progressive version in the future which will fit your taste as well. Thanks for playing.

What are you talking about P2scount, it's totally obviously a ripoff of "Don't Look Back". The game play, the premise, the way you fight and the appearance of the enemies and the way they are animated, even exactly what happens, where you proceed forward, go fight a boss, and then backtrack, it is all exactly the same. The only difference is he turns into the devil at the end instead of turning out to be the ghost who's following himself after traveling back in time, or whatever that was supposed to be. This thing has no purpose for existing, it's redundant.

I looked at the description and thought it was fun but when i tried it I didn't get it. Really like how is killing some dude supposed to do something about your dead wife. Like duuude, more meaning please.

The idea and presentation is cool. However, the rushed creation is very apparent in the gameplay. The hitbox detection is absolutely ridiculously unfair, and the enemy spawn rates were confusing.

However, it's interesting. I'd be willing to play a more fleshed out version of this game for sure.
