The control layout is awkward to the point that the game is almost unplayable. I don't know why developers keep using the space bar as the jump button when its one of the most out of place keys on the keyboard, especially if you expect rapid fire shooting as well. At the very LEAST including the option to change the key layout would have been appreciated.
And no "use joy2key and a controller" is NOT a proper response to thoughtless keyboard layouts.
there is an option in the main menu to change keyboard controls to whatever you wish Donny. It is labelled "Controls". I'm sorry that space is an inconvenient place for you - we initially had controls at j - shoot, k jump l dash but feedback from our beta test suggested that space felt better for the majority of our players.

Difficulty felt pretty much the same, until it tripled on one level. Difficulty ramp wasn't sufficient. I would love to get new bullets, with cool capabilities such as rebound etc. But over all fun. 4/5
this is not at all a bad game. the main problems i had were the facts that the graphics got repetitive and there wasn't enough variation in the levels. However, the game itself was fun. If you add a sequel, I would recommend adding things like different player models, abilities, classes, more perks to increase like speed or jump height. the game by itself is very fun and has tons of potential, but it got too repetitive and old looking at the same textures and arena. there is lots of other things you could as as well, maybe powerups, mounts, minions, etc. either way, keep up the good work!
Holy Cow! This game is really damn good lol. It's got somewhat adaptive bosses (and if not seemingly adaptive they at least have a lot of variations in the 12 bosses I managed to do in my first run.) Furthermore, it can easily become really addicting and leveling up your own character is always a nice feature to add into a game like this. I haven't tried the 2 player mode yet though and quite frankly I'm not exactly sure how well it would work out if two people were sharing one computer (though I suppose one person could try and play as both people, may work out.) However, I believe this game is a lot of fun and will be a great addition to Newgrounds. Keep up the good work in making more stuff like this in the future.
We will absolutely keep up making games like this Kenji! The game is a bit hard to play with two bros, unless you use gamepads. On our website, www.bossesforever.com, you can download the game with instructions on how to set up gamepads. Totally give bro-op a shot if you have any bros around. It get's pretty intense.
