A punch-em-up that adds very little in the mechanics department. With only one weak and one strong attack, you'll either mash buttons until your enemies fall or find a combo that works for you and stick with it.
That being said, the levels and characters look fine and the later has quite a bit of variety considering the game's lenght. The soundtrack is great and very varied as well. The difficulty curve ramps up nicelly, save for the boss battle, mostly because you are never quite sure how big the projectiles he throws at you are.
There are two unsetling things about this game though. First, the blood. With the plot presented and the cuteness of both the enemies and the protagonist, the blood seems very out of place, even if it does look like strawberry jam. The other unsetling thing is the final fight, which is grotesque and changes the tone completelly.
I gave it a 3 because I'm not a huge fan of beat-em-ups, specially ones which do not to try to shake up the formula, plus the things I mentioned on the previous paragraph. But if you're ok with either, you'll be pleased to know this game is functional and entertaining for its lenght.
