Reviews for "Painters Guild (Alpha)"

It is actually very solid, the gameplay is consistent and the difficulty is on point, the graphics are neat, the music suits well and the theme is really nice, some add-ons could be made here and there (like making the workshop more efficient, disposing of obsolete furniture), the character progression seem a bit vague since the only difference is how fast they paint and get tired, some perk system and/or special traits from different artists, a hiring system, a sandbox mode and a more accomodative finance system.

it's a good game but it keeps lags

It's been a while since I reviewed a game, but I felt like it would be appropriate. For me, I like this game. As an alpha, it's a compelling game about both an artist and inventor. I love the idea, but in some ways it fell short. For one, once you get new furniture, it's impossible to get rid of your old ones. Two, once you figure out the formula to maximize productivity, it becomes easy to keep up with the customers. Three, towards the end, the table used to improve Leonardo's skills, it becomes useless, and four, for a game called Painter's Guild, there's only two painters.

However, despite my complaints, I can't wait to see more from you. Keep up the good work.

Interesting game, but not enough variety to keep the game interesting after a while. The ever increasing guild fee seems rather harsh without a clear explaination why. After a while Da Vinci gets arrested for sodomi, but at that point he is living alone. The whole story should be told more by actual game mechanisms instead of just texts. (I don't mean that the game should actually portray sodomi, but there should at least be someone living with Da Vinci). I don't get involved in Da Vinci's life at all, and there shoul be more background to the paintings as well. The game does have potential though. I do like the art and the idea of telling painters' story's.

its ok needs a hiring system and property expansion option but,has potential so 3 stars
