Reviews for "Return to Tolagal"

Wow. This game is fantastic. You were right, I died a lot haha. I have been playing roguelikes for about 15 years now, glad I came across this. Totally gonna download the desktop version. Thanks for a great game!

Awesome game and lovely retro soundtrack! I especially love the elegant, near minimalistic game design :D

how i beat the necromancer?
he is to strong.

I almost died at the very end :)

Saved by the lick of half a heart. That, and a marvelous 6 damage reflective shield, bleeding damage from a mighty axe and a laughable over-abundance of potions. I'm not surprised who the antagonist was. The mighty shadow behind the scenes, however, was more devious.

I really liked having item info everywhere I went. Reading into the folklore was exciting. It's a shame that the final boss came so quickly. I hardly had time to think - let alone inspect who I was fighting - LET ALONE enter his room and check out his stuff. Maybe I'll play again, just to inspect the items!

Why did I step into the circle, though? Tolagal does not sound like the kind of place I'd want to rule over, especially with all the black magic floating about. I wish I had a choice in the matter! Something like the following:

"What will you do?

1) Step into the Circle.
2) Leave, and give your proof to the king."

1) "You have stepped into the circle of dark magic. A beastful immortality flows through you. This castle becomes your realm. From its darkest depths, even to its outskirts, you see and rule over all. As for the King, his time will come soon enough... (to be continued)."

2) "You make your way back to the kingdom, only to find that the king suddenly died in your absence. The prince takes no heed to your 'proof' and declare you a madman. A few rogue soldiers take your side, and you escape, but just barely. The boy-king is the least of your concerns. A greater darkness awaits.. (to be continued)"

I see you continue to update this. I hope something great awaits in the future :)
