To those who are having trouble, remember to charge your weapon and shield before going into battle by left clicking on it. What worked for me was the vampiric hammer and upgrading speed. Eventually I got the right combination of stuff to beat the game. At the end I had a hammer that would restore 4 HP with each attack, a shield that added +1 AP, and 6 AP total.

The necromancers were an exception. I took them out with an axe by attacking once and retreating since I didn't have a hammer.

Good game but short. It kept me coming back since I love rougelikes. A minimap would have been great and also a manner of using all keyboard. Pretty much hit space to swap weapons and that would be all you need. Examining stuff would still be to the mouse but that isn't critical. Frustrating, yes. but challenging, fun, and rewarding.

One question. The softly glowing arcane symbols, did they actually do anything? I couldn't tell.

cool game, distilled nethack. but still buggy. for instance, I attacked a red skeleton summoner, game locked up, could not perform any action. won't be giving a perfect score, fix bugs pls.

Damn, sorry about that. It sounds like the necromancer isn't ending his turn or something. Probably a bug I introduced when I limited them to 2 minions. I'll fix it this evening when I get home from work.

DAMN! amazing game! managed to get a super awesome shield that gives 1 ap, and a reinforced (i think) vampiric warhammer, so i just spammed my levels on speed, i thought i was gonna loose when i accidentally skipped a level without dungeon crawling hahaha

Great roguelike game without much else to add.

If you think it's too hard, you probably haven't checked the tutorial out, because when it tells you how to use the shield... Well, you're basically an unstoppable force, especially with a life stealing weapon.

The only reason I'm not giving this all 5 stars is because it's too short, and lacks interesting features to call it unique, I'm definitely playing this again if it gets an update.
