Reviews for "Seven Jumps"

Good concept but kind of slow going.

For the people complaining about not being able to dodge gaps, You can hit your head to leap a gap below you, and run into the monsters since you can't die from them.

It's an alright game, but clearly the algorithm for determining where the monsters, breaks and direction of said breaks appear is so random that the level to level experience is almost entirely luck-based instead of skill based. I had instances where I spent 3+ minutes on the third level, only to beat the second last one in 45 seconds. It's not because I got better necessarily, but rather because the platformers just appeared in a fashion that allowed me to easily evade monsters without having to constantly drop or hit my head.

This game could have been much improved with the addition of a simple secondary evade button. Allowing a player the ability to jump high enough to evade monsters or break collisions(where a break going down and a break going up pass through each other) without hitting your head and causing the prolonged stun. Either that, or multiple stun locks should be taken out with a simple temporary invincibility after the first hit. It's far too easy with a completely random layout to have a single enemy hit bring you from top to bottom, or to even evade a break collision, only to fall to the bottom as a result of the stun.

You probably didn't figure out the patterns. There is a logic in how the gaps and enemies move.

It's good. BUT it's horrible. The initial concept and gameplay work well, very well, but it's the screen. The screen is too narrow for us to see what's going on. After playing the same level for fifteen minutes, you notice the bars are following a set pattern. The thing is that because the screen is so narrow, we can't SEE far enough to judge when to jump correctly. If you released an updated version, with, say, teleporters acting as the edge of movable space, while showing the bars moving along the sides, the game would probably be much easier and MUCH less frustrating to people.

I like this game but I cannot do it sadly :(

This is a very terrible game. Because you, the monsters, and the gaps you jump/fall through all move at exactly the same speed, the vast majority of the time there is nothing you can do about an oncoming obstacle except fall. The effect was even worse in level 3 than in level 2, and I see no reason to think it will improve in later levels.

Of course speed is the same! If it would be different, the game wouldn't be fun!
