Umm... It's "Hero," by Daniel Remar. I'm giving 2.5 to give you the benefit of the doubt, because I realize that Remar's games aren't just extremely well known, so maybe you've never even heard of Hero. But if you have, then this is nothing more than a re-skin of an existing game, in which case this has no place here.

I went and downloaded Hero and played it.
I agree that on a visual level they are very similar and the fundamental ideas of the game-play are the same but his and my game play very differently. Completely different pacing, different movement, different consequences for death, mine is heavily based on keys and is almost more like a shmup. My game has as much to do with Binding of Issac as it does Hero. I feel like it's a bit unfair of you to tell me this is nothing more than his game with different graphics and that it shouldn't even be here.
All the same thanks for letting me know. It's a shame that ruined the game for you.
it does not save when u leave
Simple game, but could use some more work, the music is too simplistic and a bit annoying to be honest. Easy controls but the ability to shoot up and down would have helped the game drastically.
Upon facing the first level I was looking forward to a challenging game involving dodging dozens of enemies and getting them stuck behind walls in order to progress. Seeing the second level suddenly become impossible and realizing from the author comments that the character can actually shoot (really, how does the game itself not list basic controls o_O ) kind of ruined that and dropped it to a typical five-minute NG affair. Nothing significant here at all, but not bad for a 12-hour work.
Too many snes games.
I understand that you were going for a style here, but fuck. There is nothing original about this. The music is ear rape, the graphics are O.K., there is no color, and not much to jedge. I played it for 5 minutes before losing interest. Sorry :(
