Reviews for "The Grey Rainbow"

Could have been longer and a little more challenging, other than that, LOVED IT!!!! Especially the artwork and the characters, that along with the color theme, it was awesome. kind of reminded me of "Shades of Grey" by Jasper Fforde, if anyone has ever read it. If not, DO IT! Great read. and you will be reminded of this game as well.

BlackOlive responds:

Haven't read the novel but now that I've seen the description on wikipedia, I'm intrigued.

I like your approach to this genre, the music is soothing, the environments are inviting, and there seems to be a solid plot. As I've mentioned in past reviews, I'm always a sucker for point n click games, and this is no exception.
Great work and I look forward to more of these from you in the future!

amazing game. it reminded me of an episode of adventure time, called "Puhoy" he lived an entire lifetime then basically woke up.

it made me so sad to see the squirrel passed out, drunk, after i returned to happytown. I bet he got more of the mushroom potion...I think its nice to do these things once and a while, but if he cant find happiness without it, then that makes me sad....i hope he gets better with time. I know how he feels

BlackOlive responds:

Thank you very much. I think that the squirrel went back to drinking because he was looking for an easy way out, and there in fact are none. So he had to learn that the hard way. I can tell you, everything ends up well for him in the end.
Now it's time for you to play our other games :)

Nice artwork, good puzzles. I really liked the idea of changing properties by changing colors. It added originality to the puzzles and was well embedded in the story.

The pace is slow, and since I'm usually into more active games, at the point of the tree of the dead I was at the point of quitting. Except.. I found that I really wanted to know how the story would go on and what the meaning was with the mountain lady.

Great little tale with an uplifting message :)

the tree says:
IM VERY HUNGRY
good job it looks like a storybook that you should animate and turn into a story that people with too much ADD can watch instead of a game thats incredibly easy to get stuck in
GOOD JOB and keep drawing (also does the detective thing remind anyone of booker dewitt???)

BlackOlive responds:

Umm... sorry, I can't quite make sense of what you just said.
