Reviews for "a Grain of Truth"

Love the visuals and the music, didn't find the puzzles too hard, but I do have some trouble in the question area, I've searched all over and I'm stuck on the third question to the story

mrudi responds:

Great you like it. Bad to hear that it so hard to find and easy to miss some dialogues and words. If you not afraid to look here a walkthough:

This game is so awesome! The wiseman's yoda language was slight annoying after a few chuckles.
Love the music!!

Thanx!

I played this game and the first.o make sure I didnt miss some crucial obscure click This story was less interesting and less appealing than the first. The navigation in this game was also less enjoyable than the previous game. This one has more options but instead of making it more enjoyable it makes things more complicated and easier to miss things. I didn't need a walkthrough for the first game, which was an enormous plus, but I did need one for this game because very early on I became stuck, and it was due to one or two skipped "examine" clicks on obscure items. Needing to start over and use a walkthrough step by step was a tremendous detraction to my enjoyment of the game. Walking from one end of the map to the other took twice as many clicks as it should have (click, then walk to, rather than just clicking to go to the next screen). The puzzles were a nice addition, but the cloud sorting was more difficult than it should have been, with the very specific order in which you need to remove the tiles. The fill in the blank questions were also more difficult than they should have been, with needing to find the words all over the map and then pick the correct combo. Hiding the inventory on a secondary screen was also a bad choice. The first game's inventory being constantly visible and accessible made interfacing with it much easier and also prevented you from forgetting about it.

All in all this game was "good" but not great. The first one was great.

mrudi responds:

Great you played the both. Thanks for opinion.

I finally completed the cloud part. I have an idea for making it less of a headache. If I had known that those were words I was trying to sew, rather than a lot of squiggles (because handwriting is tough to read) I would have a much better go of it. And not everyone knows the concept to dividing clouds; I only did because I had played the same concept before. I hope the rest of the puzzles aren't too confusing. But I do love how elaborate the entire world feels as a result, so I'm happy to play the whole thing!

Pretty intense

Well this game here was pretty intense and you fill it with some rich detail on the story element of it all and it really brings on some nice depth to the game itself some nifty art style too giving it that rich depth to the game so nice job here
