Reviews for "Rivea"

At first, it should definitely be placed in the "Skill-Avoid" category since despite the bosses there isn't much shooting in this game. You have to be very patient at unlocking some of the achievements and playing because with so many bullets at the time even with changing to lowest quality the game sometimes lags like hell, I even seen few times the "ghost" of my ship in the place in which I was few seconds ago. About the medals: I got (is it supposed to be like this?) the Beating the game medal after beating only 26 levels. I also wonder what the trophies medals are about (achievemenst, ribbons?).
Nevertheless the game itself is challenging and very good. Minus half of a star only because of the the abovementioned lag.

PS

Few years after playing this game for the first time I must take away 1,5 stars because of the lag. In the meantime I bought a new laptop and if the game's performance is still that poor it is the lack of optimization.

Can't say I got very far, my ship became invincible after using a bomb, even after going to the next level. An error popped up while I was playing as well(I'm using the debug version of Flash), wish I copied it so I could show it to you guys. I simply love the minimal menu design, and the particle effects that are going on. Beyond that, I can't say I enjoyed the game, but the game couldn't be played as intended so I can't really speak much on the merits of the game itself.

ZEGMAN responds:

Thanks for the review, that's very strange :(

Too simple to make this game

ZEGMAN responds:

What?

I have always been fond of Bullet Hells, and was interested with the idea of trying to gather something instead of outlast a boss. However, when you finally did introduce a boss, it was bogged down with an extreme amount of lag whenever you would fire the laser. This may not be a problem on your system, but such a slowdown, even on minimum settings is inexcusable for a bullet which requires pixel perfect accuracy at all times.

The game did have crisp visuals, and good music but you should look into reducing the number of effects you are using and optimizing the game some more.

It sounded good, but I was immediately disappointed when I saw it is mouse controlled instead of keyboard controlled. And of course there's mouse lag too. How do you even create a game with mouse lag, it's remembering the past trail of my mouse, can't you just draw the ship at the correct mouse coordinates without remembering previous locations?

ZEGMAN responds:

Buy the upgrade to increase mouse handling
