Reviews for "bit Dungeon"

concept good but the game doesn't save it says it does but it doesn't which is annoying given how much time one may put into it just to die and have to start the entire game over again.

Currently it only gets a 1.5 out of 5 due to the fact that it crashes whenever i try to continue to the next level, and i am tired of playing level one repeatedly. If the crashing bug gets patched, i would think that the game would rate 4.5.

I gave it 4 out of 5. Gameplay was simple and fun. Music was good. Loot and fighting were fun and interesting. You did a good job with the enemies all being relatively unique, or at least interesting to fight. No real flaws as far as music/graphics/playstyle/mechanics go.

I really really liked how simple this game is to play. One button does it all. I like the concept, and in this case the execution was excellent.

Now, reason you get 4 stars instead of 5.
1.) Not much story. The story should be in game, not in the Author Comments. There was also no real ending to speak of. I played through the game twice, and got to see the Ghost. Not sure if I need to play through 3 times, but IMO once should be enough.
2.) There needs to be some kind of explanation of what the stats do. A menu that explains everything would be great.

Fix those two bits and I'd give it 5 out of 5. Suggestions for the next one? Some more interactive stages, where you have to avoid spikes, or can duck behind a wall to avoid attacks, maybe some bottomless pits, etc. Wider variety of environments, not that I had any problem here. And I'd change the loots so there's less loot, but generally higher quality.

Anyways, like I said, this was a fantastic little game, and I'm looking forward to more from you!

Amazing game, the simplicity of it appeals to most viewers; the story can be told without using words, and the controls complement the type of game it is. I only have roughly three complaints:

Checkpoint System - It shouldn't be on level 9 "You died, that stucks, here, start a new game over."

Information - I'd like to know what the different stats actually do. Do I replace my dragon sword or is the life steal on the sorceror sword not worth it? There should be a little icon to click on to see information on the stats. Whenever you unlock new magic, as well, it should explain what it does. So far all I know is Fire/Ice/Lightnng tier 1, Gem (Fire/Ice), Explode (Fire/Lightning), ? Tier 2, Chaos tier 3, but alas no idea what they do.

Item Level Bug - Sometimes the items seem to randomly change level. On the 2nd time I 'completed' the game, AKA I see the ghost wife, not the tomb, I was awarded a level 9 Sorceror Sword. Later on, it said level 7 when I went to compare it to another item. I don't know if I'm the only one with that bug, and I have no idea if the stats actually changed, but that's what i encountered.

Freezes every time I try to go to the next level, otherwise fun.
