Reviews for "Nuclear Plant"

I didn't do so hot on my first attempt and died rather early. I wasted my time growing the plant.

But the second attempt was a rather easy, as I made sure to spend those precious seconds at the beginning building up my research speed, followed by reload speed and cash bonus. I found Fast reloading is the key to getting any research done at all in some of the rounds (that and having a big enough gun due to some fast cash, of course). Losing an advantage in any of those categories seemed like it would be a real struggle to catch back up. The rest of the upgrades I just filled in after I maxed out research, reload, and cash.

I did find that a 5 for plant growing still took multiple rounds to grow, which was kind of boring when I'm mowing down everything with a heavy machine gun and then just standing there for a minute before repeating.

Really loved the concept, nice BGM, it really did gave me a feeling of "lonely post-apocalyptic scene"

But...

It was an easy game, taking in account all the things, really loved the idea of the research to get some skill points, yet this system made it all too easy, I just researched my ass off to gain more money, reload faster and shoot more precisely, I got the UZI first, hold my ground, got me the AK, then again, hold my ground and bought the mini-gun, then I started working on growing the tree, took me 3 days, 19 hours and 45 minutes to end the game.

The tree boss fight should have been harder, I don't know, make the tree try to hit you with its branches and what not, after all its a mutant, don't just send hordes of mutants towards you. a perfect accuracy with perfect reloading time just makes it all too easy, especially swapping between the Mini Gun and the X-ray gun (had no need to buy it, but I did just to see how it performed)

Nevertheless it was a fun game, a little to easy (what game ain't easy nowadays...) I think just need a little more of difficulty.

5 out of 5 my good sir.

Contrary to what a lot of reviews have been saying, I think this game is quite well balanced. Though I was hoping that the shotgun would do at least 100% as much as the sniper would, but only if you hit with every shot (close range). The only thing this game needs is different endings based on how long it took you to grow the tree. Otherwise, there we so many different routes to take, and most of them were equally good options. The only thing is, it does seem like rushing growth, and relying on patience, timing and raw skill is virtually impossible due to how exponentially hard it gets around that time, and how pitful the first two weapons are. (Weapon 1: 3 shots kill ground bug, and 6 to kill the raptors... and it only holds six shots...)

But seriously, give us more endings (one of them being the "happy ending") and this will be golden. <3

Fairly good, I find its much harder to start and get going then it is to continue once you have the ball going. Biggest tip: off the start the enemies can't kill you before you kill them so just stand at the lab getting skill points stop when a enemy gets point blank kill it and continue getting points, put them all in research speed, and by the end of the second wave you'll have maxed out research speed, and you can ear three to five points between waves. reloade speed and health regen are a must . After that, defense, then plant growth.

I only have one question whats the point in switching back to old weapons? the sniper rifle just functions like a more powerful pistol and each machine gun is better then the last in every way. it seems pointless to scroll about to other weapon when each one is better then the last.

Solid game all round, but if trees don't exist in the world you should probably take them out of the background
