Reviews for "Snowdrift"

Great game - Chrono-Trigger like graphics, evokes fear well with all the random elements used in different successful games (random text, flashing graphics, sounds, etc.), even including the amnesia-esque lantern. Slightly buggy (sometimes walk away from the scren or get stuck; the sprite for our protagonist sometimes faces the wrong way) but that's okay, given that it's a really effective as a horror Flash game (especially since I played late at night with nobody home).

Okay, midway through the game, I've found a way to be somewhat efficient on my resources with minimal lantern usage (which is low anyway) and made it past day 22 with no end in sight, no idea what I'm supposed to do (make a run for it? die on purpose?), so I left it to autosave. Not sure if I got three prompts to open the door, but I rejected it every time. There were knocks later on as well, but with no prompts.

Day 22!? That's a new record I think. I myself couldn't last longer than 12 days. But if you are at Day 22 I am sure you have enough to get an ending. Not the good one I am afraid but simply die to get your ending then. The Visitor hints as what to do but since you rejected all visitors the game runs its course until you die... And you get the ending.

Thanks for the review!

The game was pretty good. It was hard and scary in an awesome way, but also got repetitive at some points.
One thing I couldn't stop laughing was when the vocal from the band Silencer appeared as a random pic while you sleep... It kinda ruined the scaryness for me. Was it proposital?
I'll be looking foward to your next subimission, just add some variety and it'l be a 5 star for sure!
Cheers!

I had no idea who that person was until recently. I just figured the picture looked nasty! :)

Thank you for the review and glad you liked the game.

I really enjoyed the psyche aspect. You really made a pixel game scary. I personally did not like the exhaustion factor. In reality if I was hungry I would find the strength to gut a rabbit. I enjoyed your work, thanks.

The "bad ending" is when you get a knock on the door and have the fireplace selection up at the same time. You get stuck forever.

although i am currently on day 36 even though it's just like a digimon at that point.. but i can't stand to see Sam die ...

the game is almost perfect, it is not just scary, but also tense (will i make it home before night? will i find food?). what bothered me was the size of the map, its just way too small, it feels like you just bothered to make the map to the left, but not the part that goes to the right, up or down, that feel of exploration would be a good thing (it would also be easier to get lost, wich is a good thing for the spooky part). Lastly, both neutral and bad endings are "ending No.2".
