The seems to be pretty good! The sprites look nice, and the music is alright. However, there are a couple of annoyances within this game.
Was this actually intended to be 15FPS? Because the animations seem a little choppy. It'd be great if you can set it to 30FPS.
It'd be nice if you were to include a note saying that you can have more than one item, or at least have some kind of transparent round-square shape (3 of them, since that's the maximum capacity) on the item HUD.
The landing detection seems quite off. Whenever I try to jump onto a ledge that would actually seem like I should land there, I just go right through it. Of course, jumping FROM a ledge would help, if only that it also seems misleading to my inevitable misfortune (or doom).
The fact that you can't swap with what character you start the adventure with seems tad annoying. You should be able to let us pick what character we want to start the adventure with. Or at least just let us start off with the Knight, every time...
It seems that dashing actually has a cooldown. I would appreciate it if you included a HUD (maybe a blue bar) that slowly goes empty when you're running, and then slowly fills back up. An EXP HUD (preferably a yellow bar) would also be nice.
Having to be forced to sell something in order to get something that is less useful isn't good. Have the ability to leave the shop without selling or getting any item.
It would also be nice if you could fix this bug: When you can't jump and you're about to land on a spike, just hold up, and upon landing, you'll just jump without even taking any damage from the spikes.
The way you're supposed to attack with the first character (Knight) is REALLY annoying. You literally need to make the tip of the sword hit the enemy to be able to hit; you can't even hit them with the blade of the sword. This also becomes a trend with the rest of the melee characters...
You can't hit ANYTHING as the second character (Priest). That needs to be fixed, pronto. It's especially frustrating when you first get him, only to find out that you can't attack anything, and you end up dying, having to deal with him until you even manage to reach to a Knight statue. Yet, at the same time, this character is completely unstoppable once you reach up to the point where you don't die from falling into pits. Being able to heal so much (you'll have enough coins eventually) and not being able to die from pits... This class needs to be rebalanced quite a lot.
The third character (Archer) seems a bit overpowered, being able to hit enemies from ACROSS THE SCREEN. But what REALLY surprised me is that it's chance on whether or not you hit an enemy, even if it looks like you are literally piercing the shot through the body.
The sixth character (Fighter)...why did you even include this? This is basically just the Warrior, with the ability to destroy spikes (which becomes useless once you realize you can glitch through the spikes). And why does this come before the fourth and fifth character?
The fourth character (Mage) has the same issue as the Priest, albeit on a lesser scale, because at least he can RARELY hit anything, and at least he even has a spell that eliminates that problem.
The fifth character seems to be the most unique melee class, which already makes me like this character the most. Too bad he has the same hit detection problem.
Overall, this WOULD be a great game to enjoy, but because of these bad flaws, this game became mediocre.
Final Score: 3 out of 5.
