Reviews for "ir/rational Redux"

Spent an hour on 9/10. Didn't ask my brain anything. Wanted to test my smarts. Couldn't finish 9/10. But DAMN! Is this game hard or what?! Good show. 10/10 Very unique.

tjubert responds:

Cheers!

Wow. I give this game all of the stars because it's brilliantly made and deserves much more attention. I was sitting there with a pen and notebook working out the problems in math formula forms, debating to myself aloud how some of this was confusing and how the ending selection should be and it kept me thinking throughout the entire thing.

I was even more surprised when I got the final challenge on the first try when I really had no idea what I was doing at all. Ha. The challenge of contradicting The Machine was the hardest, but it was mostly because I had things out of order. Well done. Loved it! xx

tjubert responds:

Thank you!

On the whole decent, but nothing special

But... why is it 18 megs?

tjubert responds:

Because I didn't know anything about flash when I started and didn't use transparency in images to save space. Sorry!

Awesome game no doubt. Only problem was the second to last puzzle it just became a mess of confusion and though I thought I easily proved the contradiction I just couldn't get it down lol talk about major raging but still great game!

IF everybody is different, then nobody is special.
THEREFORE: IF nobody is special, I am not special.
IF everybody finishing this game got different rational potential realization rate, THEN everybody is special.
ASSUMPTION: Creator of this game did NOT design and code this game to be complicated enough for everyone to get different rational potential realization rate based on accuracy and speed of decisions during the game.
THEREFORE: Everybody finishing this game did NOT get different rational potential realization rate.
THEREFORE: Everybody is NOT different.
THEREFORE: Nobody is NOT special.
THEREFORE: I am special.

(Alternative ending: If you start with the claim that everybody is special, not only you come to realization that everybody is not special, you also cannot logically prove you being special. This game plays you as you play it.)

I definitely liked this game. I've never played game like this, advancing by making rational (and irrational) decisions, using logic.
As you can see, it inspired me to continue logical thinking by making full arguments.

It's not really a complaint, but it's a shame that this doesn't seem to have much replay-value. Still, definitely gonna bookmark this, and recommend to my friends.
