Reviews for "ICE - Solitary"

its a good game. mechanics work well, it plays smoothly (pun intended)
the story is great up until the ending which was a slap in the face after the dramatic build up.
graphics are simple but i dont mind that, some of the best games have simplistic design, minecraft and everything before gen 4 consoles comes to mind.
then there is the music.
holy shit the music, it is incredible. very dramatic and matches the mood of the game very well of mysterious unkown and impending doom.

a nice first game i expect bright things from you in the future
tl;dr decent game awesome music

thank you - a little too kind but thanks!

Not bad!

tamaster92 responds:

thank you!

Not a bad game. The single blocks can be frustrating, and it would make it a bit easier for those who are easily frustrated if you put some sticky blocks among the singles when climbing to gove a minute to stop and catch your breath. Also, maybe people don't know you can control the jump height by how long you hold the spacebar and can also change direction midair. The ending is a bit unsatisfying as well.

tamaster92 responds:

Thank you for playing! Yes the ending and plot as a hole hasn't turned out how I would of liked.

it is pretty realistic it seems like the main character has amnesia so really there would be no real story until he retrieves his memory.

tamaster92 responds:

Thank you !

This isn't too bad - it's quite simple and the concept of sliding on the ice is really cool. As for what others have said about it lacking narrative, this is true, but doesn't need to be a complete flaw. For instance, I just played it casually during a lull at work. If there had been an engaging storyline, then it wouldn't have felt as casual to me.

tamaster92 responds:

Thanks! When I was making it I wasn't sure if the mechanics would hold up at all so I tried to cover it by creating a stronger narrative - this seems to have backfired however!
