Reviews for "ICE - Solitary"

Ok, I'm not going to repeat what everyone else has been saying. I have a few other things to say, though. First off, the music really fit well with the mood of the game. It became more intense as the story did. Secondly, you did a great job of putting the story right on the game screen, so we don't have to sit and watch cutscenes. Thirdly, the game was challenging without being frustrating, so even though I often messed up and died, I didn't want to quit. Great job, and I can't wait to see more from you in the future! Don't listen to the haters, the game isn't frustrating/crappy like those first few reviews made it out to be.

Thank you! I mean it's far from perfect but those are problems I'll fix in future games

Why do you torture me like this?!
I can't..............stop.

its a good game. mechanics work well, it plays smoothly (pun intended)
the story is great up until the ending which was a slap in the face after the dramatic build up.
graphics are simple but i dont mind that, some of the best games have simplistic design, minecraft and everything before gen 4 consoles comes to mind.
then there is the music.
holy shit the music, it is incredible. very dramatic and matches the mood of the game very well of mysterious unkown and impending doom.

a nice first game i expect bright things from you in the future
tl;dr decent game awesome music

tamaster92 responds:

thank you - a little too kind but thanks!

It kinda needs a little more of a storyline. It's like mario except no enemies and everything is slippery.

tamaster92 responds:

Thank you! Yes the narrative in lacking.

Gotta say, I wholly enjoyed the "minimalist" pixelesque graphics, and the start to a storyline. I DID feel the payoff at the end kinda left me more than a little disappointed, but I gladly spent my time and, to be fair, with all talk of "the end" from about the mid-point on, I probably should've seen that ending coming. Still, I liked it, just felt a little like the ending was a bit more than lacking.

tamaster92 responds:

Thank you, yes I certainly have learned my lesson with the ending! Hopefully my next game will be much better in that way.
