@Gemini, Do I see you 'pumping out half made games', or any games at all? No. He has talent that you don't have, and you criticize him for it? At least he made an effort, something I think you only do to piss off the creators.
While a fun game, the writing just is painful to read. Reminds me of a very lackluster Saturday morning cartoon plot.
Also, I know it is more of a nitpick than anything, but, crossbows aren't supposed to be faster than archers. They hit harder and require little training to use in real life; but they are very slow to fire.
Maybe make it so a crossbow deals more damage and put in short bows, faster firing but less damage per shot, units?
