Hyptosis responds:

Thank you!

This was a good game, but it lacks many of the things that make a good RPG. The story is short, I beat the game within an hour. The game is also really easy. The last three bosses were either bad programming or bugged because a Sackman used Slapchop once in the battle with Vineth and then no one else attcked me for the rest of the battles. Also, the game isn't interactive enough for an RPG. Most of the NPCs are useless, such as the dog. If you could come back after the game and help people out or do quests, I would rate higher. It's good for a flash game, but with the release of Epic Battle Fantasy 3 and the announcement of Epic Battle Fantasy 4, the bar for RPGs has been raised. It was good, but not good enough. Also, the music is really great for a Flash. Kudos for that.

I'm only one guy.

this game is awesome dont know why people are complaining about the problems they dont happen to me though

I'm enjoying the game and have been able to progress fairly easily. However, equipment items that I collect do not show up in my list of items. Potions and the like show up in the Inventory menu just fine, but nothing shows up in the Equipment menu.

Other than this issue, its a very fun game. I like the art. It has a playful look to it without seeming cartoonish. The music is also very good (at least what I've heard so far). The plot does seem a little lacking, but it could be fleshed out to be a very engaging story. The play ability is pretty solid, but it would be nice to operate the fight menus with the keyboard too.

Char Froze, used Q, then the Menu Button stopped working

I went into the menu to check up on a potion I found, then clicked back from the inventory screen. At that point the AWSD keys were not working (nor the arrow keys, but the mouse cursor, l-click & enter key worked fine. I didn't test the menu button, though.)

I used the Q horrid sound fix, and was able to move again. But the menu button, although sensitive to mouse roll-over, does not open the menu either with the l-click or the enter key.

This occurred on the screen left of the Grog & Cheese Pub, so I wasn't far in at all. Also, this was the first foray into the menu since I had levelled. (lvl 1 to 2) Everything works fine in battle mode, and I has a battle just before picking up the potion, and just after I used the Q fix to move again.

Keep at it, though! Looks great, and the storytelling is quality, from the bit I could see.

As constructive criticism the menu navigation needs work, (inv, skill and eq. screens just felt counter-intuitive, for some reason. More ideas when I log more play time.)

The combat could use a timer gimmick or more animation on the enemy side to give us a better feel for when the enemy is striking, who he struck, and how much damage he caused. Same vague counter-intuitive feel as I tried to figure out who hit who with what, and who came next.

All in all, a damn good beta! I'll try it again in a week or so!

Thanks so much for the detailed information, that helps a lot!
