Reviews for "-The Guardian-"

Really good.

This is really good, the music was beautiful and fit perfectly, and I enjoyed the art style.

My only criticism is that I couldn't quite understand what the motive of the bad guy was. I assume he just wanted the green guys to not have it anymore, but why would he give the guy the artifact only to want it back? Yeah I guess he tried to convince him that it was powerful and worth money, but if that's the case why wouldn't he keep it for himself? I'm sure you have an idea in your head what was going through his mind, but in animation it's important to make sure the audience understands it just as well as you do.

Otherwise, keep making these, I'm sure you'll only get better :)

That was beautiful

That was beautifully written and well animated. I liked the premise as it reminded me a tiny bit of what Miyazaki would do, as well as the writers of shows like digimon and other shows and movies with the "chosen children" premise. The character designs were very appealing, especially the villain as he didn't have an over-the-top design to make him look edgy and he didn't act all silent. He was more mysterious and more outgoing with his plans and truly showed that he was a villain. The main character looks like how most standard teens look now a days and the guardian looked simple yet interesting at the same time.

The music was well-chosen and was pretty catchy, however I wish it were music that changed tone within the animation itself. Atleast to fit what the characters are experiencing.

The Animation wasn't that bad at all. In fact, it was well done but could use a little work. It seemed a bit stiff, like that one scene where the kid was running from the villain. But the fight scenes were pretty good and the falling and trickery scenes were pulled off well.

Overall, it was pretty good. Keep up the work and I wish you luck man.

Great.. But..

So the guy gives him the all powerful glowy thing which he stole, trying to convince him to take it and run so he can have this ultimate power. OK. Then he threatens him with death and demands he give him the thing he just gave to him minutes earlier. Not OK. That just doesn't make much sense... Also I agree with the guy below who said that the text detracts from the feel of the movie, if you're going to have dialog like that why not use voice actors instead? Everything else was awesome though :).

NeroGeist responds:

I understand the confusion of the plot of this movie. That was a stupid mistake on my part. I have an explanation for it, so when I have time I'll make this into a series to explain it to everyone. But for now, it would seem tiring to reply to everyone trying to explain it. But anyway! About the absence of voices. The reason why I didn't have voices in it was because I didn't want any other obstructions to detract from the music. Essentially, I wanted this to be a music video, sort of. But yeah, I should have put more time into the facial expressions to show what they're saying other than just text (I took the lazy way, haha).
But anywho, thank you for the review! I'll be sure to improve on that in the future! :]
